Reunion Message from Keith:
Well, all to soon the reunion was here and gone,
but what an enjoyable occasion it was, my feedback tells me
that all enjoyed it immensely and the grub was superb. To
my great relief after all my coaxing Bob Bogan made it there
along with Peter Slade and several of the Aden gang (my words
not theres).
My thanks go to David Eliot,Lawrie Hodges and
Debbie Young for all their work and credit has to go to all
who attended because I thought the atmosphere was really good,
I must make a mention here of a couple of faces. I have not
had time to put captions to all the pics but one family that
impressed me was Rodney Burke's family, his wife and two sons,
who were intent on getting Rodney there, and boy did he enjoy
it. This is what reunion is all about, renewing friendships
and sharing those memories, we all remember as young soldiers
being told you are now a member of the regimental family,
and smiling "Oh yes", however now all these years
later, the Regimental Family is there working hard and holding
us all together for all time.
I also cannot fail to be impressed with the
spirit generated by all ranks, you will know that mostly we
all use first names but never fail to remember and respect
each other and the rank, the title being used where necessary.
Now at long last the SCLI book is available,
I will be advertising it on the three websites I run and telling
the world of a regiment that only officially lasted nine years,
but I think they got it all wrong, WE ARE STILL THERE, 1st
BATTALION SCLI VETERANS.
Feedback
Bob Bogan:
Many thanks to all who worked so hard to make
the SCLI/LI Reunion Taunton 2006 first class in every way.
It was so obvious our regimental bonds and comradeship are
as strong as ever.
Hugh Fox:
Congratulations, great pics and first class
reunion. I will try and scan some more SCLI pics but they
are on 35mm slides that are over 40 years old.!!
Keith John White:

on there faces as wide as a barn door.Roll on 07.
John Pover:
Another wonderful reunion for which I would
extend my sincere thanks to all those responsible. Even more
faces from the past were in attendance which can only serve
to support the event. Long may the SCLI/LI Reunion at Taunton
continue, and from down here in Cornwall may I once again
thank our comrades in Somerset.
Darren Burke:
