Joined up with my mates George Walker and John Walters
in July 64, trained at Shrewsbury.
64/65 Berlin / 9 Plt.C Company
65/68 Gravesend - Aden 66 - Norway 4 times - Canada
twice. During this posting and having served 3 years
with C Company, I joined the Mortar's for 6 months,
then my big love, the 'Recce'
68/70 Ballykinler, promoted L/Cpl. unfortunately had
to leave the Recce and join the Signals, because of
an ulcer that disallowed my participation in the Kenya
exercise. Three months before end, met wife and married
on my last day in Northern Ireland.
70 Lemgo, spent last 6 months happily in the PRI.

the Burgermeister as we were from Doncaster, which
I believe was twinned with Lemgo.

Fizz was from Durham, can't remember his first name
for the life of me, but he was a good guy and always
kept us laughing!
