I joined at Shrewsbury in April 1966, served in Aden, B Coy 5 Pltn, Gravesend Int Sec, N I Int Sec then Bde HQ, working with Int Corp.Lemgo, Shrewsbury KAPE team, Colchester, Belize.I came out in 1975 as I went in a Private. The pictures are of us going walkabout, around the camp area, and to get rid of ammo stocks. The one of the land rover may be one that got mined earlier, and was made u/s permanantly. This was the only place where I fired in anger. On sanger duty one night with a couple of other guys,I was having a kip(legally) there was a shake on my foot, `There`s 3 blokes just gone past (says a voice in the dark) Did you challange them `Yes`,No reply. I put a vary up, told them to phone command post, I then let rip with GPMG, sprayed the area .81 illums going up,everyone wondering what the hell was going on. In the morning I found I managed to harvest part of a corn cob field. It`s quicker than a combine harvester!! The serious side to it was that these dizzy`s were trying to mine the airfield.
